On Wednesday night, footage leaks online of Lil Reese arguing with a young woman and then punching and kicking her….but today, Reese took a different tone from his initial reaction, by tweeting an apology.

When the video first hit the web, Reese tweeted: “The haters tryna see a mf Dwn lol Dey gotta b broke and bored wanna upload sum shit from years ago damnn we winnin it’s 2 late…
Meanwhile, reactions to the disturbing video have ranged from industry boycotts, open letters from women, and on-air blasts on Hot97…..to the opposite, i.e. angry support, calls for help, and jaded justifications. The full range of views are on display in the comments section of this blog.

But tonight, Reese is expressing his first signs of remorse and culpability. And the woman in the video, has made her first public statement as well….

Meanwhile, a young woman from Chicago named Tiarah Marie has stepped forward as the victim in the infamous video….and posted a statement on Facebook. According to her, the fight took place just last year, not “years ago” as Reese tweeted. While Tiarah Marie dismisses the altercation as “old and dumb,” she ends her statement by calling Reese out for knuckling up with a girl: “a n—a who fight females is one themself [sic].”
